We had discussion about soundwaves.

Categories:
Audible waves - sound that we can hear.
Infrasonic waves - below audible waves.
Ultrasonic waves - above audible waves.

We had a group work and we need to solve a problem.
The one who gets the correct answer/s will get +5pts in our upcoming summative test. And we got it. :) Yey. Atleast, automatically, our group will not get 0. :p

Wednesday:
Today's topic was easy. (More about soundwaves). We discussed about the intensity of a soundwave and also its intensity level.

Calculating Intensity:
I=P/A

*I - Intensity
*P - is the power, the rate of energy transfer
*A - Area
*Unit - watts/sq.m

Calculating Intensity Level:
Threshold of hearing:
0.000000000001W/sq.m - faintest = 0dB
Threshold of pain:
1W/sq.m - loudest = 120dB

1Bell[Represented by B]=10dB(decibel)[Represented by: Beta]

Beta=10[log(I/Io)]
